It is derived from the mane of buddhist called saint is inside the forest of nagarjun.
This holy and sacred hill is located in the North West part of Kathmandu valley.this forest is conservation by the nepal government. Later the forest was combined as part of National Shivapuri Nagarjun Park. Many different animals including wild boar, cat tiger, fox, and monkey are found inside the dense forest and famous for the flora.
Different kinds of flora and fauna including herbal and ayurvedic plants were found in this jungle. While on hike we can pass the high hills with the many monasteries, cave and shrines and wild animals were found like, wild boars, monkey, and many more varieties of wilds birds.
This hike is one of the easiest hikes near Kathmandu and any physical fitness people can hike this. This is the perfect location for hiking from Kathmandu which can take you away from crowd within thirty minutes.
